Manchester United settled the derby match against its city rivals two goals without response, in the confrontation that embraced the Old Trafford on Sunday evening, at the top of the round matches of the 29th round of the English Premier League.
United goals were scored by Anthony Martial (30′) and Scott Mctominay (96′).
With that result, Manchester United raised its score to 45 points in fifth place, while Manchester City’s balance stood at 57 points in second place.
United imposed their dominance of the derby after winning back and forth in the league this season.
The first attempt in the match came in the tenth minute for Manchester City, with a shot from Sterling from inside the penalty area, which de Gea successfully tackled.
The response came from United in the 16th minute, with a special pass from Fernandez to James, who set off from the right side towards the penalty area, and then shot a globe that Ederson saved.
City continued to take possession of the ball with Manchester United relying on counterattacks, and in the 27th minute, Martial pushed from the left side of the penalty area after dribbling Fernandinho and then shot a globe that Ederson easily grabbed.
Manchester United opened the scoring in the 30th minute, after a foul by the Red Devils on the edge of the penalty area, Fernandez executed by sending a deceptive fallen cross to Martial inside the area, who in turn hit the bird in the net.
United’s appetite opened after the goal, and in the 32nd minute, Williams sent a perfect cross from the left side, Fernandez lifted her header straight and went wide.
City missed completely offensive after the United goal, despite his possession of the ball, but he did not reach the United goal in only one attack throughout the half, and the next few minutes did not witness any new, to end the first half with the progress of the Red Devils with a goal without response.
Manchester City started the second half with a strong goal, Aguero scored the equalizer in De Gea’s goal in the 48th minute, before being canceled for offside.
United almost scored the second goal, after a mistake by Ederson who failed to tame the ball, to pass from under his foot towards the goal, before fixing the mistake by sending the ball away at the last minute before Martial reached it in the 50th minute.
Foden fired a missile from outside the penalty area in the 56th minute, De Gea’s brilliance in removing her to a corner kick.
Guardiola made two changes at the same time in the 60th minute, with Jesus and Mahrez leaving at the expense of Aguero and Bernardo, respectively.
In the 61st minute, Otamendi climbed to Gundogan’s cross kick, with a header that went just over the bar.
City continued to strive to score the equalizer, after Mehrez paved the ball for Foden on the edge of the penalty area in the 63rd minute, to pay the latter a ball that went away from the goal.
From a quick counterattack in the 70th minute, James ran from the right side and dodged Utamende, before he hit a powerful ball that Ederson pushed him into a corner kick, while he could pass Fernandez completely free of control inside the penalty area.
Mehrez sent a across to Sterling in the penalty area, to fail the latter to tame the ball to reach Jesus, who hit a powerful globe, De Gea shine in tackling it in the 75th minute.
Solskjaer made two switches at once in the 78th minute of Baily and Mctominay, at the expense of both Williams and Martial, respectively, before Guardiola paid Mindy at the expense of Zinczenko.
Solskjaer then pushed into Ighalo at the expense of Fernandez in the 88th minute.
Sterling tried to surprise De Gea with a shot from the edge of the penalty area in the first minute of stoppage time, but the Spanish goalkeeper caught the ball.
Ederson made a fatal mistake in the sixth minute of stoppage time after he failed to pass the ball in his hand, to reach Mctominay, who fired directly into the goal, to end the meeting after winning United with two goals without reply.
